About

"Take every opportunity to stand and be still; stop and take a look around. Miss nothing in life by being numb or going through the motions. My love of art stems from the need to help others and showcase the beautiful world around us. I try to prompt the viewer to reflect, enjoy and appreciate life’s moments or ignite a memory from their own past. With art, time becomes suspended and the memory becomes alive. “

-Jennifer  Jones

Jennifer Jones considers her talent a God-given gift, one she has enjoyed working hard to expand and enlarge. Since she was old enough to draw, she has discovered art as a useful medium to portray her views and emotions, which words cannot express about life. She was inspired to pursue art as a career in grade school from art mentor Lenora Winsett.

She attended college on art scholarship at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.  She also had an interest in film, which led to an opportunity to be part of the making of a Native American music video by cinematographer, Billy Taleko- Williamson. Amazed by his work, she realized she enjoyed being a part of the creative process of visual storytelling through media production. She became his production assistant for five years at Ariflex Films, which led to another adventure.

While studying at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, she instructed many art workshops of all ages for the Windward Artist Guild. Coming to a crossroads of which area of art to pursue; fine art or computer and media art, she chose to further her education in media while still practicing the fine arts.

In 2005 she graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of California San Diego. While in San Diego, she worked as a Motion Graphics Artist for Knight Mediacom and was a Production Assistant for Doubletake Media Solutions. She was a member of the Woman’s Caucus for Art, Imperial Beach Art Guild and Team Women. She designed art and creative elements for the Rock Church and the City of Imperial Beach beautification projects.  Another personal passion of hers is donating art to charity, fundraising events, scholarship funds and the community.

As an artist, Jennifer is not limited to a particular style or media. The bodies of her work, from drawing to painting to mixed media to computer graphics, invite viewers to take a deeper look. They reveal a constantly growing and evolving artist. She enjoys combining elements of imagination with realism and experimenting with abstract concepts and developing new techniques. Materials include acrylic paints, oil paints, soft pastel, oil pastel and various other mixed media, as well as photography and computer graphics. She loves to help individuals express their creative side by including them in the visualization and creative process of all projects.

Jennifer Jones now practices computer, media art and fine art within her company, “Jones of Art”. As a member of The National Association of Professional Women, she was pronounced “Woman of the Year” in 2011, after reaching success with her company.

She is truly passionate about helping others through art in every way possible.
